Professor Helen Arruda
Natural from the south of Brazil, Professor Helen Arruda started training Jiu-Jitsu back in 2012 in Houston, TX. Her professor from white to black belt is professor Vinicius “Draculino” who is known as one of the best Jiu-Jitsu coaches of all time.Working for the Gracie Barra organization since 2014 she knows everything about Gracie Barra, so don’t hesitate to ask her about it!
A world traveler that chose Huntsville to be her home, she loves to train and to teach and will be on the mats with you almost daily, especially during the Women’s classes!
Be aware of her strong spider guard because she certainly will play that on you!!
A 33 year old that is passionate about Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys competing but doesn’t see it as her main goal. “My main goal, especially after receiving my black belt, is to bring as many girls and women to the mats as possible, so they can experience this unique sport that will certainly influence their lives in many positive ways!”
